(MOBILE, Ala.) - The Mobile City Council has extended an agreement with the state on a project to relieve traffic congestion on McGregor Avenue near Airport Boulevard.
It will be 2015 before construction begins, but engineers are tossing ideas around now.
Possibilities include adding a right turn lane at McGregor and Airport, a center turn lane on McGregor and sidewalks from Airport to Dauphin Street.
The federal government is paying 80 percent of the total bill.
The city will pay 20 percent, which is roughly $4 million.
