(MOBILE, Ala.) Now that Christmas is over, it's time to take down the tree. Recycling services are available seven days a week.

Recyclable Christmas materials can be delivered to the Metro Recycling Center located at 1451 Government Street from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. seven days a week.
Here is what you CAN bring in for recycling:
ü Paper gift boxes and bags – boxes must be flat, no plastic gift bags.
ü Wrapping and tissue paper
ü Cards, envelopes and other paper goods
ü Paper and cardboard packaging
ü Corrugated cardboard boxes – boxes must be flat
ü Styrofoam packing peanuts – securely packaged in a box or plastic bag – give to attendant
ü Used cooking oil
Remember that ALL boxes MUST be flattened!
Here is what you CANNOT bring:
Ø No ribbon and bows
Ø No Mylar or Tyvec type wrapping material (material you can’t tear)
Ø No block Styrofoam
Ø No plastic/clamshell packaging from toys, tools, etc.
Ø No plastic or wax coated boxes, bags or cartons
