(MOBILE, Ala.) - Cathedral Square in downtown Mobile went Gangnam style Friday night, as a flash mob kicked off A Scarlet Event.
It's parts of Aids Awareness. The goal is to celebrate improving survival rates and health of people undergoing treatment.
"We have to release those stigmas and break those chains and the ignorance an not knowing. We're here. And as you can see, it's a celebration going on out there. Everybody's out there! Children, young and old!" said Ty Tover with the Mobile Aids Coalition.
This was the first event of its kind in Mobile. Local 15's Darwin Singleton was the emcee.
