MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) The Trinity Gardens Mardi Gras Association kicked off festivities at 11 a.m. Saturday morning.
Mobile Police say a crowd of about 66,000 revelers were in attendance.
MPD responded to eight complaints during the event, but made no arrests.
According to organizers, the parades had a combined total of 90 units and started the formation at Chestang Middle School.
The celebration for Trinity Gardens Black Heritage was formed 39 years ago by residents who wanted to celebrate community pride.
The community will also host a Black Heritage Ball on Feb. 23 at the Baker-Gaines auditorium on the Bishop State Community College Central Campus.
