(MOBILE, Ala.) July 8 - The Department of Health and Human Services has awarded $922,516 of their stimulus allocations to advanced-education nursing grants, and some of that money is headed to the Gulf Coast.
The University of South Alabama will get $577,437 of that money. Another $300,000 of that money will go to nursing education at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
