$40K of Synthetic Pot Seized from 7 Escambia Co. Convenience Stores

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WPMI) Investigators in Escambia County, Florida, confiscated more than 1,700 packages of synthetic marijuana, also known as spice.

Members of the Escambia County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Unit targeted 11 convenience stores January 31. Of the 11, investigators say seven were selling spice.

Investigators recovered over 1,790 packages of suspected marijuana, which weighed over 17 pounds. The street value is estimated at $40,000.

Several felony charges and arrests are pending further investigation.
