FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WPMI) Fairhope City Council voted unanimously to pass the motion to allocate $350, 000 to schools in the city.
Fairhope City Council President Jack Burrell says $70,000 will be equally distributed to five schools.
The money has to be dispersed equally between five schools in the Fairhope area and the money should go to technology, to buy materials, supplies and equipment that are not disposable, in other words long lasting.
The council says it's what teachers wanted.
