13 Fatal Traffic Accidents Over Holiday Travel Period in Ala.

(MONTGOMERY, Ala.) Alabama State Troopers have released their traffic report from the 2012 Holiday travel period.

The travel period began at 12:01 a.m. Dec. 22 and ended at midnight Jan. 2. Alabama State Troopers investigated 13 fatal crashes resulting in 14 traffic deaths.

Two motorcyclists and one pedestrian were among those killed in Lamar, Mobile, Walker, Pickens, Etowah, Madison, Marshall, Calhoun, Butler, DeKalb, Monroe, Blount and Chambers counties.

It's unclear if alcohol was a factor in any of these traffic deaths.
