Yea, how many people get in the shower before getting the water temp right or even after getting it right (temp) and look up at the shower head and THEN turn the water on? You don't actually get it right until it runs a couple of minutes through the shower head BEFORE getting under the shower spray. Therefore, you do not get a face full of bacteria as stated in the article! What about the faucets in the kitchen and bath? They have gook in them as well if you'll check unless you have some really high chlorine levels in your water supply. Typical BS and wasted money as usual! It took a University to figure this out?? No wonder the schools keep turning out educated idiots every day.

The US Federal Government waste millions on stupid studies and reserach to colleges and universities each year. Studies like sickly shrimp on treadmills, how far a cricket can travel in one day, why rich people have better landscaping in their yards, how much alcohol Chinese prostitues drink, and this one about shower heads. These schools hire lobbyists and politicians in the States award these asinine studies and research so acamdemia can reap millions each year to line their own pockets. They get these grantsin the millions of dollars and hire more highly paid professors that make salaries in six figures to fleece the American taxpayers.

Watched this on the 10PM news last night. This was a waste of time, why would NBC run a story like this? I guess the one good thing out of it was I was trying to go to sleep and it worked.

Read deeper into this people. The University of Colorado applies and gets millions in taxpayer dollars to fund asinine research such as this. They have to show a result of their studies to the Government for giving them millions for "research" studies. So they come up with a brainstorm of an idea and pick the shower heads in the bathroom. Stop for a moment and think, most people take warm or hot showers and that water temperature alone will be hot enough to kill any bacteria. This is a joke and people shouldn't take this story seriously. It's the usual fear mongering by NBC and the rest of the lame stream media telling people everything they eat, drink, and do will hurt or kill them. Guess what!! People are going to die eventually and they won't live to be 120 years old. Watch the nightly news each evening and see what they air as "warnings" to the American people.
