(MOBILE, Ala.) The woman accused of throwing a puppy off a balcony did not show up in court Monday morning for an arraignment. A judge has signed a warrant for Kendria Dexter's arrest.

Dexter is charged with cruelty to animals. Her roommate says the two were arguing, when Dexter grabbed the puppy, choked it and threw it off the third floor balcony.

Dexter says she tossed the puppy outside and she must have slid through the railings.

Lola made a full recovery and was adopted by a couple in Key West.
