Witnesses: Driver Had "Intent to Kill"

The driver who ran over a 20-year-old man on a downtown street had the "intent to kill," according to friends of the victim who witnessed the accident.

There is no explanation for intentionally running over someone. The victims age does not matter, if he were drunk or not does not matter. If the person that ran over the young man did it purposely (and it seems as if they did) they should be in jail, period!

I wouldn't expect "friends of the victim" to say anything else. An evening out? The victim was 20 years old, how old were the "friends"? They weren't downtown playing dominoes at 0500. Sounds to me like they were drinking which is against the law if you're under 21. Since his friends witnessed the crime, they should be able to provide the MPD with a tag number and detailed description of the driver...if they can't it's because they know the driver and are protecting him/her. This story reeks of pogie!
