MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) Two men are charged with assaulting a police officer Wednesday night.
It happened on Girby Road shortly after 9:30 p.m.
Officials say an officer noticed Labarron Watkins and George Stanton acting suspicious. The officer also said he smelled marijuana on the two.
When the officer went to investigate, officials say Watkins and Stanton started hitting the officer in the face.
Watkins and Stanton are charged with second degree assault, possession of marijuana, failure to obey police and resisting arrest.
