Search Warrant Served on Teacher's Home Suspected of Student Relationship

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WPMI) The Mobile County Sheriff's Office searched the home of the Mary G. Montgomery teacher under investigation for an alleged inappropriate relationship with a student.

The teacher's name has not been released. Officials tell us they will only release her name if an arrest is made.

Officials say they searched the woman's home on Tanner Williams Road Wednesday. They did find some items that would aid in the investigation.

The sheriff's office was notified by school officials February 18, and began their investigation.

No charges have been filed in the case and no arrests have been made at this time.

The school system tells Local 15 News the teacher has been placed on paid administrative leave.
