Ala. Teacher Who Drove Off Dock Was Drunk
(MOBILE, Ala.) Dec. 24 - Apparently, a Mobile County teacher who's SUV went off a dock at Fort Morgan had a blood alcohol level of more than twice the legal limit.
Baldwin County Officials say Louie Carvin's blood alcohol content was .19 percent. Alabama's legal limit is .8 percent.
Investigators say Carvin stopped at least twice to buy alcohol before the accident. They say he drove through an open gate to the ferry dock back in October.
Carvin was an eighth-grade teacher at Grand Bay Middle School.
