(BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala.) - It's been nearly two weeks since a horrible case of animal cruelty was discovered in Baldwin County.

Now, dozens of animals that survived will soon be looking for a new home.

But, Humane Officials are issuing a warning for those who may be considering adoption. There are scammers out there advertising for these pets on sites like Craigslist. Officials say they're only trying to get your money.

"They are pretending to be rescuers and needing donations," says Sonja Presley with BARC!

There are 66 dogs and 56 cats that will go up for adoption in a month.

You have until Monday to provide proof of ownership if you had your pets boarded at the Summerdale facility.
