(SARALAND, Ala.)  Nov. 25 - Murdered for $120. Police say robbery was a daughter's motive for murdering her father.

Lacy Pope and her husband John robbed Anthony Embley, an Iraq Veteran, and murdered him in his home, according to Saraland Police. Saraland Police Chief Kevin Anderson says the pair got away with some other belongings, which he will not identify, in addition to the cash.

Investigators say Embley died from blunt-force trauma, and what they call "sharp-force trauma," which could include cutting or stabbing.

When asked if the crime scene was gruesome, Anderson replied: "I believe information such as that would do more harm to the Embley family. We don't want to upset them during this time of crisis."

The Pope's aren't strangers to police. Each has an extensive criminal past with charges ranging from burglary and robbery to drug possession and now murder.

"We do not anticipate any more arrests," Anderson said.

Embley's son was shocked to learn his sister could be a killer. He didn't want to go on camera, but says: "There's no words to describe how I feel right now. He was a good father to her, helped her out in anyway he can."

The money the Pope's stole may have been used to purchase drugs, but police couldn't confirm that was part of the motive.
