One man is dead after an officer involved shooting in Prichard. It happened at a gas station around 1 a.m.
We're told a store clerk at the gas station was confronted by an intoxicated customer with a weapon. We're told the clerk called police, and when they arrived, the suspect refused to cooperate.
Police say he approached them and began pulling a gun from his pocket, and officers fired shots. The suspect was taken to USA Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. No other injuries were reported.
