My Parents never depended on the school system or anyone else to provide transportation to and from school with their seven children. You see, it's all part of planning your life correctly, marry the right person, have kids, raise kids, send kids to school, and be successfful enough to have enough money to provide everything those kids need, including rides to and from school. Since when is it anyone elses responsibility to provide a ride for kids to school? Your taxes only go so far and I'm sure with that attitude you certainly take more back than you give in taxes. If you're a decent and responsible parent then you don't depend on ANYONE ELSE to do things for your children that you should do, it's that simple!

As a single working parent i would like to know if the school system is going to provide transportation to and from Shaw. Shaw is not around the corner from Murphy and i do hold a job that i still have to maintain.

Mrs. Peak, are you serious, 50 portables? So what happens if there's bad weather, storms or Tornados and the kids are in school? Your focus does not seem to be on safety, but making sure you make the days needed to get funding from the state for the year. Such as when the first Tornado which struck a week earlier, Those kids should not have been on buses or parents trying to find alternative routes to get kids to school in such horrible weather. You are responsible for those kids safety when it comes to school closing durning bad weather. Maybe the Board should have searched a little longer, JUST SAYING.
