PENSACOLA, Fla. (WPMI) A Pensacola woman has been arrested after leaving her three young children at home alone.

Just after midnight, deputies responded to the call of a child that was found. The caller said they saw a small child running down the street wearing only a shirt and a diaper. Deputies found the home where the 2-year-old lived and also discovered two other children, ages 4 and 6, unattended.

About an hour later the mother of the children, Amanda Lynette Wiggins, returned home. She told deputies she left just before the babysitter was to arrive. Deputies were not able to verify that story.

Wiggins is charged with three counts of child neglect. She's being held in jail without bond. The children were not injured and the Department of Children and Families responded and made arrangements for the children.

I've read many articles concerning parent leaving or causing their children from hurting. Though I have no right to judge them yet I'm hoping that nobody would ever thought of doing so. As a mother of two, the idea of my children being harmed or lost is not something anyone wants to consider. Then I found an article by anationofmoms about a service that can protect your family via your cell phone. And at the bottom, there is an opportunity to enter a drawing for 6 months of that service just by liking them on Facebook. You might find it interesting: http://anationofmoms.com/2011/08/protect-your-family-giveaway.html
