(MOBILE, Ala.) – Thousands crowded into Mobile’s downtown for the Annual MoonPie Drop.
This year there were three stages with a lot of good music.
The headliner, the commodores, will ring in the New Year.
The Commodores actually got their start in Tuskegee, Alabama so after touring china and South Africa they say this show is like a homecoming.
Music isn't the only attraction; you've got parades and lasers.
This year, the laser show is going all out.
"The whole RSA BankTrust building is going to come alive with laser lights on all four sides,” says Councilman Fred Richardson.
Richardson is the man behind the MoonPie drop.
This year promises to be even bigger, better.
"We got the Commodores, Wet Willie, three stages, parade, laser lights, fireworks,” says Richardson, "I think people are going to be dazzled when they see all that going on. It's is on."
