(MOBILE COUNTY, Ala.) One person has died in Mobile County from the flu, according to the Mobile County Health Department.

To protect the victim, officials have not released much about the victim. We do know the man died Monday and he was 34 years old. We've also learned he went to a local hospital on Sunday with flu-like symptoms. Health officials say the man had underlying medical problems.

Health officials say he died from the influenza A strain. That's the strain the CDC has been watching closely, as more cases of the flu sweep the nation.

Local health officials and the CDC are urging anyone over the age of 6 months to get vaccinated. The health department gives those vaccines out Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for $15.
