ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WPMI) A Pensacola man was sentenced to 20 years in prison Monday for a 2010 drive-by shooting.
Thomas Cutts pled guilty Monday to two counts of aggravated battery, two counts of shooting from a vehicle, shooting at a building and aggravated assault.
Prosecutors say Cutts was the passenger in a GMC Jimmy September 28, 2010, when he began shooting from the vehicle with a shotgun. It happened on Maxwell Street.
Multiple people were hit, including children who were innocent bystanders.
Cutts was sentenced to 20 years in state prison for two counts of aggravated battery and aggravated assault. He received 15 years in state prison to run concurrent on the remaining counts.
The driver of the vehicle, Lashawn McIntyre, was sentenced to five years.
