MPD: Murder Suspect Arrested after Holding Girlfriend Hostage

(MOBILE, Ala.)   Mobile Police arrested a suspect in a homicide that happened back in December, after he barricaded himself and his girlfriend inside his house for three hours.

Tactical units made forced entry into the home of Grady Russ McClendon, 34, after he shot at officers.

It happened at the 10000 block of Sweetwater Road South in Chunchula.

On December 2, 2012, Mobile Police responded to the Taco Bell at 3246 Dauphin Street for a report of one shot.

Upon arrival, officers found Jamal Marquis Little, 22, in his vehicle with gunshot wounds. Little was pronounced dead on the scene.

McClendon is charged with Murder and Person Forbidden to Possess a Firearm.

Mobile Police are still investigating the incident.
