MPD Investigating Traffic Fatality

(MOBILE, Ala.) - Mobile Police are are investigating an early morning traffic fatality that left one man dead.

Police say 23-year-old Charles Hoven was traveling south on Cochrane Causeway when his vehicle collided with a tractor trailer.

Mobile Police responded to a wreck with injuries at Cochrane Causeway and 6th Street Tuesday morning.

Officers found Hoven had died as a result of the accident. Investigators believe speed was a factor. Hoven was not wearing a seatbelt. 
 

Traffic Homicide Detectives will continue to investigate the incident.  If anyone has information, please call the Mobile Police Department at 208-7211.
