Yeh, like Social Security. Same thing happened there. "Free" money is the downfall of Senators and Representatives of Government.

I realize that I am not a resident of Alabama, but having lived in other states where the lottery is legal, I have seenwhat it can do. In Tn. the money is dedicated for education. In Ky. the money was supposed to be for education, but the legislators, in their wisdom (greed), decided to 'borrow' from education to keep the general fund afloat. Needless to say, the 'loan' was never repaid and now the lottery continuosly funds the general fund and education suffers. It will work here if set up properly.

Soooo, a Lottery MIGHT be OK if it's going to fund armed guards to protect children from those who exercise their 2nd Amendment right to "Keep and Bear Arms". Boy, you guys are really fuged up in your beliefs..
