BILOXI, Miss. (AP) - Police hoping to learn more about a Jan. 19 accident that killed a father and his 5-year-old daughter shut down southbound lanes of Interstate 110 at Biloxi.

The Sun Herald reports that the right southbound lane was closed around 8 a.m. Sunday. A second lane was closed intermittently, leading to traffic tie-ups. The work was completed by the afternoon.

Detective Sgt. Tim McKaig said the daylight closure was needed because police were working in the dark when they marked critical areas of the highway and concrete barrier after the accident for later review.

The victims were Alex Hernandez of D'Iberville and his daughter, Ashlin. Twenty-five-year-old Andrew James Good, of Cooperas Cove, Texas, is being held on Driving Under the Influence charges in the case. His bond was $1 million.
