(MOBILE, AL)  Oct. 3-- We have new information on the 5 month old twins recovering about being brutually abused. NBC 15's Jenna Susko spoke with the grandmother of little Cherish and Marcus Sharpe.

Pauline Sharpe is in tears tonight because her grandchildren are in the hospital.  Her daughter, Marketa, is in jail- accused of severely abusing her 5 month old twins.  Cherish and Marcus have broken bones throughout their tiny bodies.  Police say Marcus was even burned by cigarettes.  Pauline claims her daughter is innocent.  "If I ever see anyone hurt or abuse a child, I would hurt them and show them exactly what it feels like, but my daughter didn't do it."  Pauline says her daughter's boyfriend, Larry West, did.  "I found out recently from my babygirl that he did do this.  My daughter said she was scared, he threatened my little girl.  She said, 'Mom, I saw him shake those babies.  She seen it and he looked at her and threatened her."  Prichard police- though- charged both with child abuse.  While West and Sharpe sit in jail, Cherish and Marcus are recovering from broken femurs, broken arms and broken ribs...and without their mother.
