Funeral Arrangements Set for Citronelle Coach Tommy Long

CITRONELLE, Ala. (WPMI)   Funeral arrangements are set for a long time basketball coach in Citronelle.

The funeral will be on Friday, Jan. 4 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home in Pensacola. Visitation will be at 11:30 a.m. with service at 12:30 and burial at Barrancas National Cemetery.

In lieu of sending flowers, family asks that you donate towards to Tommy Long Jr. Memorial Fund at Navy Federal Credit Union.

Funds will be used to help send a someone in need to the Billy Donovan Basketball Camp.


Long passed away from an apparent heart attack on Dec. 23.

He was a minister at a church and coach at Citronelle High School.

Those that knew him say long was a caring mentor.
