SEMMES, Ala. (WPMI) The family of a 14-year-old student who had an alleged sexual relationship with a female high school teacher is considering bringing a lawsuit.

“Nothing’s off the table from a civil standpoint,” family attorney David Greene told Local 15.

28-year-old Alicia Gray, a teacher at Mary G. Montgomery High School, has been released on bond after turning herself in Monday. Gray is facing charges of sexual abuse, two counts of sodomy, and sexual contact with a student under the age of 19 by a school employee.

“[The victim] may be six feet tall, a big young man, but he’s a child,” Greene said. “This woman allegedly took advantage of him while in a position of authority.”

It’s unknown at this time exactly who the family would sue.

“It appears there’s at least one or two people that are responsible,” Greene said. “We’ll sort of leave it at that.”
