(BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala.) Dec. 7 --
The Coast Guard is assisting local agencies in searching for two missing men.The Coast Guard received the initial report of the missing men at approximately 7 p.m. Sunday from the Alabama Marine Police, who had discovered an empty canoe. Friends say Jason Brown and Alan Clemons were last seen around 1:30 p.m. Sunday when they were squirrel hunting.
Coast Guard Sector Mobile launched a 41-foot rescue boat and crew from Station Dauphin Island and a helicopter and crew from Air Station New Orleans to assist in the search.
The Coast Guard is continuing to search Monday from North Mobile Bay to the Tensaw River.
