The employee and shelter who did this should be sued. It is wrong to take a life of someone's beloved pet.

This is beyond disgusting, this needs to stop, these so called human beings need to be stopped!!! This is too much. If I had been standing where this poor woman was after being told that these hideous people had done that to one of my pets I would not have been responsible for my actions. This animal hell hole needs to be closed down until they are able to employ compassionate, caring human beings who actually care about these poor animals. THIS HAS TO END. I agree, where's the petition?!

I have a rescued dog from a local shelter here and I am friends with lots of "rescuers" that post tragic stories about this horrible shelter. Killings of all animals BEFORE their 7 day time. Lord knows someone needs to do something about the deplorable conditions of this shelter. They are not a a shelter! They're a death camp for any animal that has the misfortune of ending up there. God rest all the furbabies that have lost there life there!!

NO excuse good enough for careless euthanasia! I'll bet if workers knew the penalty for this kind of horrible tragedy was the death penalty for their one of their own loved ones, they'd be a heck of a lot more careful before euthanizing a stray. Breaks my heart for the owner and the cat. RIP, lil' one. You were too good for this world. :'(

I'm sure that this sort of despicable action happens all acrosss the US and the people in South Alabama are outraged over it. The good thing is good southerners are upset and want it to stop as opposed to ignoring it and not exposing it. We're all about change in the South, whether it be animals or humans treatment. Places like Chicago, LA, NY, Detroit, and Cleveland have worse problems with their human behavior, things like drugs, ghettos, gangs, murders, are on the front burner and they are too busy trying to get out or stay alive to worry about pets and animals.

Obama relishes weather, crowds in trip to Berlin
President Barack Obama should have felt right at home in his visit to Germany on Wednesday, with summer weather that felt more like Washington than Berlin -- and a large crowd waiting to hear him speak.
