(PENSACOLA, Fl.) - Pensacola Police have found the body of a man who was apparently kidnapped from his apartment early Monday morning. The body has been identified as that of 32-year-old Torrance Hackworth.

On Monday, Hackworth's girlfriend told police she was sleeping in bed when four to five unknown men entered her apartment. She says the men were yelling and one of them pointed a gun at her.

She told police she and her four children were ordered into the living room while the men tied up her boyfriend. She says they carried him out of the apartment, put him in the trunk of her car and drove off.

The vehicle was later found submerged at Sanders Beach in the 900 block of South I Street, but Hackworth was not found in the trunk.

Around 5:45 Wednesday evening officers responded to a wooded lot in the 1600 block of North S Street after receiving an anonymous tip. That's where they found Hackworth's body.

An autopsy will be done to determine cause of death. Although a motive for the home invasion/kidnapping remains under investigation, police say it is believed to have been drug related.
