(PENSACOLA, Fla.) July 2 - The Escambia County Sheriff's Office says the mother of a 2-year-old boy found wandering near Gulf Beach Highway has turned herself into authorities.

Escambia County sheriff's deputies say a taxi driver found the little boy wondering at approximately 3:30 A.M. near the intersection of Gulf Beach Highway and Navy Boulevard, then took the little boy to IHOP before calling deputies.

Deputies say they received tips from the community and were in the vicinity of the mother's last known address when they discovered the little boy's mother, 22-year-old Sarah Jean Miller, turned herself into the jail.

Deputies say Investigator Troy Brown arrested Miller for an outstanding petty-theft warrant. Authorities say more charges are pending the conclusion of their investigation into this incident.
