Those who've considered getting botox treatments but are wary of needles may soon be in luck.
Clinical trials are underway for a wrinkle fighting topical gel that has the same ingredient as injectible botox.
It successfully reduced wrinkles in 89% of the 270 patients who tried it.
Researchers say it works by penetrating the skin and relaxing the underlying facial muscles.
The gel, which has not been approved by the F.D.A., must be applied by a doctor during an office visit.
