(MOBILE, Ala.) - There are less than 30 days left of school, do you have family summer vacation plans? In our working mom segment, LOCAL 15's Kym Thurman takes a look at one family vacation spot that's just as much fun for parents as it is for kids.
Over the spring break holiday my kids and I visited a place that was a car drive away, a lot of fun and fit into a working mom's tight budget. You and your kids can be part of what many of them love to watch on tv, nickelodeon's slime show! It's here at the Nickelodeon suites resort in Orlando, Florida.
"Not only do we have slime we have nick characters who will entertain you and a bunch of nick shows," said Monica Rae Andrews, a Nick Suites show host.
There's so much for kids, you don't have to leave the resort. You can have breakfast with Spongebob Squarepants and Dora the Explorer. There's an arcade, Nick shows and karoke. There's also Nick after dark -- just for us parents.
"Parents can bring kids to our rec area, we'll entertain them with shows and music and games and parents can do whatever they want," said Monica Rae Andrews.
If you think it's not affordable, there are many different price packages for all of us that are in that tight budget. While we were there, we ran into several other families from Mobile; and it's right down the street for the Orlando amusement parks!
