"Make sure your kids have lean protein and complex carbohydrates, it helps them stay full longer, stay satisfied longer, they can concentrate better, they're not as tired, they don't get as easily distracted," said registered dietitian Lila Sanders with the Delicious Dietitian.
Sanders, says grab plenty of fruits and veggies, that covers your complex carbohydrates and when it comes to lean protein, low fat dairy and fresh meats are best.
