WEATHER SUMMARY

A brief reprieve from the bitter cold temperatures is expected onThursday as a quick moving storm system approaches the area. A HardFreeze Warning is in effect tonight east of Mobile into the FloridaPanhandle. Temperatures here will again drop into the 20s for a lengthyperiod of time before clouds begin rolling in early Thursday morning.Skies will be mostly cloudy during the day Thursday with highs in themid and upper 40s. Showers will move in during the afternoon with therain mixing with sleet and snow before ending. No accumulation isexpected, however some slick spots may develop late Thursday night astemperatures drop quickly behind the arctic cold front. This front willbring a reinforcing shot of bitter cold air to the Gulf Coast on Fridayand Saturday with highs in the 30s inland and near 40 toward the coast.Overnight temperatures will drop well into the teens areawide. Warmerweather will push back into the region early next week. Highs willreach the 50s by Monday and Tuesday.
