(OCEAN SPRING, Miss.) Police arrested a Biloxi woman on a drunk driving charge after she allegedly hit a pedestrian and then left the scene of the accident in Ocean Spring.
Police Capt. Chuck Jackson tells The Sun Herald Lisa B. Sanchez was identified as the driver of white SUV who hit a pedestrian around 1:40 a.m. Sunday.
Shortly after the accident, police stopped Sanchez on U.S. Highway 90.
She currently faces charges of DUI and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in an injury.
Jackson says the injured pedestrian suffered facial trauma, road rash and cuts and bruises to her body and was taken to Ocean Springs Hospital. Her identity was not released.
It was unclear whether Sanchez has an attorney.
