MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) Frank Hancock drove 500 miles from Atlanta, Texas to Mobile to make sure his wife, a passenger on the disabled Carnival Triumph, is okay.
"They're goin' through the devil if it's like I heard," Hancock said, "No toilets and no food. It's not a laughing matter."
Hancock hasn't been able to get in contact with his wife by phone or e-mail since he heard the news the ship's engine had caught fire and the Triumph was stranded at in the Gulf of Mexico.
"I've been scared this whole time," Hancock said.
Hancock said his wife has been through enough already, and did not want her to take a bus or flight home offered by Carnival. Hancock wants to personally pick her up when she finally gets off the ship at the Alabama Cruise Terminal, to make sure she's safe and sound.
Hancock said he and his wife have been on several cruises and they have all been enjoyable experiences.
"Whether she wants to go on one again, I couldn't tell ya," Hancock said with a chuckle.
