GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - Two fathers and their sons are among eight people held for prosecution in a conspiracy to distribute oxycodone in Harrison County.
The Sun Herald reports six of them have pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge and are set for sentencing Feb. 4 in U.S. District Court.
The charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
A federal grand jury indicted them in August following an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration. The indictment said the conspiracy involving sales of the prescription pain-killer began at least three years ago.
Rocky Cameron and Milton Cuevas III are set for trial Jan. 7.The others accepted plea agreements Oct. 29.
The amount of pills involved has not been released.
