(BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala.) - Spanish Fort Middle School principal Craig Ross will be taking over as principal at Robertsdale High School, not Robbie Owen as initially thought.

Baldwin County officials announced Friday that Rockwell Elementary principal Robbie Owen had been appointed.

Monday, LOCAL 15 News has learned that Owen has turned down the offer.

Theresa Bryant abruptly retired from Robertsdale High School last week.

We learned that on the same day, Bryant's brother stepped down as head of maintenance at Foley High School.

A sheriff's department spokesman says that the department has been contacted by school officials. However, Baldwin County Sheriff Hoss Mack says there has been no investigation.

in light of all the circulating rumors, people should stop rushing to conclusions.until the actual facts regarding the decision of Ms.Bryant to resign are made public, than people need to stop wagging their tails gossiping about why this happened.

I agree with the above comment! As taxpayers we should demand an investigation if there is currently not one. Our schools have had a difficult time financially and there has to be a reason for the quick exit by both Ms. Bryant and her brother. I for one had heard alot of differnt opinions from other Baldwin County Board of Education employees and none of them stated that they both "just resigned". I guess all we can hope for is that our leaders don't just sit on this until it goes away.

Somebody needs to investigate what is going on at Robertsdale High School. Teachers just don't up and retire in the middle of a school year for no reason and especially when her brother and from what I've heard another teacher at Robertsdale High School as well.
