(MOBILE, Ala.) The Turbo Snake promises to release hair clogs with just a twist of the wrist. It's basically a black wire with Velcro attached at the end of it. The company is so convinced this product will work they say you don't even need to remove the sink's stopper.

"In a bathroom sink or tub hair is the number one problem," says construction expert, Rafael Maldonado.  So we met up with Rafael already doing plumbing work on this bathroom.

"This is the plug here, and that bar that sits, hair wraps around it, and it catches all around it and usually you have to pull this thing out, and then you can get the hair out," says Rafael.  Then he says you have to put it all back together.  "Which is very difficult because it's hard getting under these sinks."

Luckily his bathroom work today didn't involve clogs.  So we created our own, owner's permission of course.

"We put a clump of hair inside the sink towards the trap, below the plug there. And I took the Turbo Snake and stuck it down there and twisted it, down inside and slowly twisted it," says Rafael.  After his first attempt didn't clear the clog, Rafael gave it another twirl.  "There it is, all in there," says Rafael.

Rafael says it's a deal!

Not bad for $10, Raphael plans to buy one for his tool box.  Just give it another try if the clog doesn't come out the first time.
