Do you struggle to read the keys on your regular keyboard? Are you constantly hitting the wrong keys by accident? If so, EZ Eyes, the As Seen on TV large print keyboard guarantees to make typing easy on your eyes and more accurate too. What's the secret? The makers claim it's the high contrast colors, and the oversized print which is four times larger than the print on a standard keyboard.
We tapped our I.T. Manager Torri Dixon to test it out, he says the hook up was seamless and it required no complicated software. But right from the start, the outlook was bleak. "None of the buttons are actually working, and actually a few of the buttons are sticking, this keyboard is bad," says Dixon.
He suggested we try another one since a jammed key was locking up the keyboard. we returned it and brought in a new one for round two. "This one is typing much better," says Dixon. Torri says EZ Eyes works just like his personal keyboard. "The only difference between this one and the other is the highlighted keys, as far as the way it fuctions, it functions the same keys are exactly the same," says Dixon.
Next, could he really read the bold print on all 104 keys without his glasses. "Even with my glasses off I can make out the keys with no problem," says Dixon.
Torri says spills are the number one reason keyboards stop working. "As your typing you expect the key to return, pop back in place, and continue typing well if it's stuck in there because of the sugar or the caramels from sodas it won't return properly," says Dixon. The makers of EZ Eyes say their keyboard is spill resistant. So, we poured water on it to find out if it woud still work, and yes it did! "The first one came out of the box and it didn't really work so when you returned it and brought it back the second one worked exactly like they advertised," says Dixon.
In your opinion is this a deal or a dud? "It's a deal," says Dixon.
EZ Eyes will cost you $10 dollars.
