Boom Cube promises to be the little speaker with a big sound. It claims to add big boom to iPads, iPods, iPhones, even computers.
The makers say that at only one inch the little dynamo creates pumping base and quality sound that's just dying to get out.
To find out if this cube could really pump up the volume we stopped by the Broken iPhone Store to let owner Mark Bodiford blast it out. "Portable speakers are really taking off they really have some popular more expensive units out there," says Bodiford. It's obvious the little speaker makes the loudest fashion statement. It claims to make the sound of your device 10x's louder. Mark's first order of business was to turn the volume all the way up on his iPhone and it didn't sound very loud. But when he added the Boom Cube, the difference was undeniable. "I would not say that it's 10x's louder it might have a 10 decibel gain which perceived by the ear is twice as loud but no I wouldn't say 10 fold for sure," says Bodiford.
But for $10 Mark believes the sound was definitely louder. In your opinion is this a deal or dud? "It's a deal," says Bodiford.
By the way, the Boom Cube will cost you $10 dollars.
