Sausage and 5 Bean Chili

Ingredients:
1½ lbs. ground round
1 lb. Conecuh sausage, sliced in thin half moons
1 sweet onion, chopped
2 cups mixed bell peppers, chopped
1 jalapeno, finely chopped (use 2 or 3 if you like things with a bigger kick!)
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 tsp. ground cumin
14 oz. baked beans
1 can chili beans
1 can black beans, drained
1 can great northern beans, drained
1 can red beans, drained
1 bottle BBQ sauce (12-14 oz.)
6 oz. beer
In a large pot brown sausage over medium heat for a few minutes. Add ground beef and cook until almost all the way brown. Add onions and bell peppers. Cook for a few more minutes until vegetables begin to soften. Add jalapeno and garlic. Cook for 1 minute. Add beer and stir well. Add all beans and BBQ sauce. Bring chili to a boil then immediately reduce and let simmer until you are ready to serve, at least 30 minutes.
