(MOBILE, Ala.) - It's not as if cracking an egg is really that hard to begin with, but the makers of the easy egg cracker say they've made it even easier for you.
It claims to split the egg open every time leaving no shell behind. LOCAL 15 put it to the test. Kevin McCabe owns the popular Royal Street Cafe' in Downtown Mobile. Running a restaurant best known for breakfast, McCabe says it's important to have plenty of eggs. "We do on average about 15 dozen eggs a day."
That's where the Easy Egg Cracker comes in. The makes claim their product can crack an egg instantly and separate the yolk from the shell.
The first step is simply inserting an egg horizontally into the easy egg cracker, then squeeze. We tried it three times, it worked everytime. For the most part it, looks like the Easy Egg Cracker really is easy, but McCabe says it's not for him.
"It's just time consuming, not fast enough. But for the homeowner or home cook, if you don't break a lot of eggs, it could work for ya."
