(MOBILE, Ala.) - The Touch-N-Brush is a hands-free, automatic toothpaste dispenser LOCAL 15 News viewers asked us to try out.
Lauren Carter says getting 8-year-old Hannah and 6-year-old Jay to brush their teeth is never easy, and sometimes she has to ask twice.
"(The hardest part is) definitely getting the toothpaste on the toothbrush then cleaning up the sink afterwards," Carter said.
One of the Touch-N-Brush's claims is no more messy, sticky bathroom; another is not more fighting for the last drop of toothpaste. LOCAL 15 News decided to buy it and try it.
"I'm not really excited about the way it looks, but I'm willing to try anything," Carter said. Their mom might have been a little skeptical, but Hannah and Jay were excited. Both say they think it will help keep their sink and toothbrush cleaner.
Stick your toothbrush inside, and in just a matter of seconds, you are done.
"It's just a little tiny dab of toothpaste," Carter said. "For an adult, it probably would not be enough though."
"The Touch-N-Brush makes me want to brush more," Jay said, saying he will brush three times a day. His sister Hannah agreed. Before the Touch-N-Brush she only brushed her teeth twice a day. Now, she says she wants to brush four times a day.
"For kids it's a pretty good product, and it looks like they were having fun with it definitely," Carter said. "If it gets them to brush more often, that is always a good thing."
While the Touch-N-Brush seems to be a thrill for kids, one question still remains: does it fulfill the needs for adults?
