It has been a wild year for comedian Jay Leno.  The self professed "foot soldier of comedy" is doing what he says is his favorite thing to do this weekend at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi-- Stand Up!  Jay has always said he's a comedian first.. a tv host second.   That second little gig has made him an unbelievably wealthy man.  But through it all, he continues to travel extensively doing stand-up gigs all across the country.  He is a workaholic, and claims he hasn't spent a dime of the money he made through 17 years of hosting the Tonight Show.  Do the math, it's hundreds of millions of dollars.  Tomorrow night, I'm getting the chance to sit down with Jay, and ask about some of the things I have found so interesting through the years.  What's he going to do with those multi-millions.  He and his wife Mavis have no children, and he can only buy so many cars and motorcycles.

He was comfortable behind the desk at the Tonight Show.  He was number one in late night for most of that time.  But NBC promised the seat to Conan O'brian, and let Jay know he needed to move on.  NBC then created a NEW show, so the peacock network wouldn't lose Jay to another network (things that make you go: hmmmm?)  So here we are... a few months into the Leno experiment.  He is making money for the network, but NBC affiliates across the country say Jay's lead-in to their late newscasts simply isn't helping.

I look forward to asking Jay about the move.  About the pressure.  About the future.

We'll have it on the air for you Monday at 10:00 pm.
