I've joked many times I suffer from SAD (seasonal affective disorder), but this winter, I truly believe I do!  I love the crackling of the fireplace and the warm blankets; that's great for when we're indoors, but once I go outside - I want sunshine and 80 degree weather!  When I open the door and I'm hit with cold air, I want to run and retreat back into the house.  This winter I've found it extremly hard to get out of bed in the morning.  I'm not grumpy, but just tired.  It takes a lot more energy then it normally does.

I grew up in southern California, near the dessert, so I'm used to the hot summers and warm winters.  I think it's great!  It reminds me so much of life down here along the Gulf Coast.  That was a big part of moving here.  That's why I am saying now to old man winter, go away.  It's time for spring showers and flowers to pop up!  Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful we just have the cold and not all the snow that has come with it along the east coast and the midwest this winter, but it will still be the nice when we hit the 80 degree mark!
