(Mobile, Ala) - Oct. 6 -- Getting digital TV means getting rid of your old TV set, right? Not at all.

You can still use your older TV.

So here's your situation: You've got an old TV that right now is hooked up to an outside antenna. Some stations work great. Some come in OK, but if you keep this same setup, this time next February, it won't work at all.

So here's your solution: It's a converter box that will cost you about $60. The government will pay $40 of it, so you're only out $20, and the setup is very simple. You take the outside antenna and screw it into the left terminal of the converter box. Another cord goes from the right terminal to your TV and just like that, digital television is on your old set. So with that, this old set will now give you up to 20 channels of digital TV and it essentially costs you only about $20 and 10 minutes of your time.
